  16. It used to be that the 'official' WinSock archive was sunsite.unc.edu in 
  17. pub/micro/pc-stuff/ms-windows/winsock; in particular, the apps directory has a 
  18. very good collection of good stuff.  It's become a bit more spread out now, 
  19. but this site, and this newsgroup, is a good place to start.

  21. I can recommend WSGopher as a Gopher client, because I wrote it!  It's 
  22. wsg-09g.exe, and version 1.0 will be coming out soon; just the same, the 
  23. version on sunsite is stable.  Don't be put off by the low version #; WSGopher 
  24. has been in use for close to a year, and there were just some things I wanted 
  25. to have in version 1.0 ...
